  Scary Effectiveness of Assembly Videos

  well, i got to see the final day of this years regional convention.and i saw something that disturbs me.. the final, "summing up review" video.

  it disturbs me because it was so well done.

  (i wish i could remember the title of the song), to the strains of a solo vocalist singing in a fine "irish tenor", we see the actors from the previous videos of the last few days all assembling together in a clearing.

  I think the unintended effect of all this technological wizardry and its "shock and awe" impact on the masses will be to underscore just how tedious, boring, irrelevant and "dry as dust" their weekly meetings are in comparison.

  every bible book pretty much was applied to the “anointed remnant “.

  if a prophet blew his nose it was a fulfillment of a future deed done by the “anointed”.. have they stopped this nonsense?

  i tiptoe around wt dogma and focus on the basics of love, life compassion, etc.

  and i deliberately do not use jw terminology whenever i can.

  It's clear WT is neo-Judaism. The recent Memorial talks and a baptism talk I recently heard could have been delivered by a Rabbi... barely a reference to you-know-who.

  Continuing congregation mergers

  in the area i live in the pacific northwest, three spanish congregations we're merged into two a couple of years ago and in the next month or so four english congregations will be cut down to three.

  both situations happened because of lack of growth.

  a few years ago, i would never have imagined spanish congregations disappearing or merging but it's happening.
